Xiaomi on Thursday launched its MI Note 14 and MI Notebook 14 Horizon Edition laptops in India. The laptops come with 10th-gen Intel processors along with optional Nvidia GeForce graphics. The notebooks come with thin bezels and include Silent as well as Performance modes to meet consumer needs. “Xiaomi started its work on launching the Mi Notebook in India back in January 2019,” Said India chief Manu Kumar Jain during the Livestream.
Mi Notebook 14 Specifications
Microsoft Windows 10 Home comes Pre-loaded in the Mi Notebook 14. The Laptop comes with a 14-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and very thin 3mm bezels on the top and sides of the display panel. Due to the Thin Bezels, the Mi Notebook 14 misses on a built-in Webcam. However, Xiaomi has bundled a USB Webcam in the box.
The Mi Notebook 14 is powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, which comes with an 8GB of DDR4 RAM and optional Nvidia GeForce MX250 Graphics. The Notebook also comes with a 512GB SATA SSD. To give power to the Mi Notebook 14, there’s an in-built battery that is touted to deliver up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge. Besides, the notebook weighs 1.5 kilograms.
Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition Specifications
Just like the Mi Notebook 14, the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition also runs on the Windows 10 Home Edition and features a 14-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) anti-glare IPS display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent. This Display has a 60Hz refresh rate and 178-degree viewing angles. the Notebook 14 Horizon Edition also comes with a 3mm bezels on the sides and top of the display panel. There will be a bundled USB webcam with the notebook to enable video conferencing support.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10210U or a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10510U processor, along with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU to handle all the graphical tasks easily. The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard NVMe M.2 SSD with a bandwidth of 3,000MB/s.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with a better-built quality as compared to the regular variant as Xiaomi has provided a metallic chassis on the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition that has a framework of aluminum and magnesium alloy. Xiaomi also told that the Notebook 14 Horizon Edition offers a footprint of a 13.3-inch notebook despite including a 14-inch display.
In terms of connectivity, the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition has Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB 3.1 ports, a USB 2.0 port, and a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. The Notebook comes with a chiclet-style keyboard that has a scissor mechanism and key travel of 1.3mm. The keyboard is coupled with a multitouch-supporting trackpad.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with stereo speakers and includes DTS Audio processing. Xiaomi has preloaded the laptop with Mi Blaze Unlock and Mi Quickshare. Besides, you’ll get a 46Wh battery that is touted to deliver up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge.
Mi Notebook 14, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition Price in India
The Mi Notebook 14 has been priced at ₹41,999 for the base variant that comes with a 256GB SATA SSD and Intel’s integrated GPU. To bump up the storage, the Mi Notebook 14 is available in a 512GB SSD model which is priced at ₹44,999. The model with Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU is priced at ₹47,999. t is important to note here that these prices are introductory promotional prices and valid only until July 16. After the date, Xiaomi is likely to increase the pricing of all three models.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition, on the other hand, carries a starting price of ₹54,999 for the Intel Core i5 model. The notebook also has an Intel Core i7 option that is available at ₹59,999.
The Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition will be available in the country starting June 17 through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studios. The notebooks will also soon be available for purchase through offline retail stores as well.
