Apple Expands Independent Repair Program to Canada and Europe

Apple officially allowed independent shops to repair the iPhone back in 2019 starting from the US. The US currently boasts over 700 locations that are part of 140 independent companies for the repair of the iPhone. Apple is now expanding the Independent Repair Provider Program to Canada and 32 countries in Europe.

The industry-leading program enables businesses of all sizes to offer repairs on iPhone using genuine Apple parts, which ensures safety and quality. You can see which companies in your city are certified by Apple on this page (currently showing only US locations).

“We are thrilled to expand our independent repair program to more locations across the US and to businesses across Europe and Canada,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. “When a customer needs a repair, we want them to have a range of options that not only suits their needs but also guarantees safety and quality so their iPhone can be used for as long as possible.”

This program ensures that the repair shops will use genuine Apple parts, tools, and repair manuals. The interested companies can join for free in Apple’s Independent Repair Provider Program and the training is also free of cost. The training involves certifying the company’s technicians through an online testing platform. Certifications will be provided as per the device and will need to be updated annually.
