HTC to Launch New Smartphones in India on August 14

HTC is all set to make a come back in India on August 14. The Taiwanese smartphone maker, HTC through social media has teased its comeback in I.ndia. According to some unknown resources, HTC will launch the Desire 19+ in India as its first smartphone after a long break of over a year since the last phone that was launched by HTC in India. The official teaser shows that the phone features a waterdrop-style notch, which was recently seen in HTC Desire 19+.

Indian E-Commerce giant, Flipkart also teases the come back of HTC in India. The teaser says the “Legacy Continues”, with the company’s so far journey in the smartphone world — starting from the launch of the HTC Touch that arrived as the world’s first touch-centric phone back in 2007 to the HTC 10 that was launched in 2016 as the first smartphone to sport optical image stabilisation (OIS) in both front and back cameras.. The teaser also says that the phone will be unveiled on August 14.

The teaser video that was released on Twitter by HTC India also shows the company’s so far journey in the smartphone world. At the end of the video, a sketch appears which gives us a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone, and also shows that the phone will feature a waterdrop-style notch, just like the HTC Desire 19+. It has also been predicted that HTC will launch Desire 19e as well with the Desire19+

To Recall, HTC Desire 19+ was launched in Taiwan earlier this year in June. The phone features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels (271 PPI) and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone has PowerVR GE8320 GPU for better graphics and gaming experience. On the camera front, HTC Desire 19+ has a triple camera setup, with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture for better portrait shots and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens for ultra-wide shots. The phone Desire 19+ can record up to 30fps at 1080p and a 60fps at 720p resolution. There’s a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and also supports HDR. The HTC Desire 19+ is backed by a 3850 mAh battery which supports 10W fast charging and a USB-type C Support. The phone measures 156.2 x 74.8 x 8.5 mm and is currently available in two colors in Taiwan – Star Can Blue, Jasmine White.
