Oneplus in an event on Tuesday launched Oneplus 7T and Oneplus TV in India. The Oneplus 7T packs a lot of new features as compared to its predecessor, the Oneplus 7. The Oneplus 7T now comes with a higher capacity battery, faster processor, and an additional rear camera. The OnePlus 7T also supports Warp Charge 30T which is 18 percent faster than Warp Charge 30 found on OnePlus 7 Pro, as claimed by Onpelus in the event. The Oneplus 7T supports a 6.55-inch full-HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop-style notch.
Oneplus 7T Price and Availability
The Oneplus 7T price in India starts at ₹37,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage variant is priced at ₹39,999. The Smartphone is offered in 2 colors options – Frosted Silver and Glacier Blue, with a new matte frosted glass look at the rear. The Oneplus 7T will be available via Amazon India, Oneplus India Website and Oneplus Experience stores in India starting from 28th September. The Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale will also be starting from 28th September. The new Olive Green color variant of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless was also launched in the event, at the same price of ₹5,990.
Launch offers for the OnePlus 7T weren’t detailed at the time of launch, beyond naming channel partners – Airtel, Cashify, Croma, HDFC Bank, Poorvika, Poojara, Reliance Digital, Reliance Jio, Sangeetha, SBI, Top-10, and Vijay Sales. OnePlus at the event also announced OnePlus Care loyalty program with benefits such as 1-year extended warranty, 50 percent off on battery replacement, as well as buyback offers. At the event, the company announced it would launch its own payments service – OnePlus Pay – sometime next year.
Oneplus 7T Specifications
The Oneplus 7T comes with a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, a pixel density of 402ppi, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, as well as support for sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts. The Oneplus 7T also has a waterdrop-style notch. Oneplus claims that the display of the Oneplus 7T comes with a new technology which blocks 40% of blue light. The front and back glass of the phones comes with an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. The Oneplus 7T also features an In-Display fingerprint sensor.
The OnePlus 7 had a 19.5:9 aspect ratio on its 6.41-inch, 60Hz, and HDR10+ display. OnePlus 7T also gets a new Chromatic Reading Mode and retains the Night Mode features that were present on OnePlus 7. The Oneplus 7T is powered by top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855+ SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
The OnePlus 7T comes with a 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.0 2-lane storage, and like any other Oneplus phone, the Onpleus 7T’s storage is also non-expandable. The company is touting new OnePlus Cloud Storage for the Gallery, with 5GB free. The Company is offering addition 50GB of storage for the first year. The Gallery app of the Oneplus also comes with a new Smart Albums feature which categorizes the images based on identity and location just like Google Photos. The process is said to be on-device.
The Oneplus 7T packs a larger 3,800mAh battery and it supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging Technology which delivers 30W (5V/ 6A) power and is said to be 18% faster than the Warp Charge 30 which we have seen on Oneplus 7 Pro. The Warp Charge 30T can charge Oneplus 7T’s 3,800mAh battery to 70% in just 30 minutes as claimed by the company.
The Oneplus 7T runs on Oxygen OS 10.0 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box. Connectivity options on the OnePlus 7T include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C (v3.1 Gen 1) port. The Phone also has all the sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, sensor core, and a proximity sensor. It has dimensions of 160.94×74.4×8.13mm, weighs 190 grams.
The Oneplus 7T also comes with Dual Stereo speakers (On the top and bottom of the phone), haptic vibration which was recently seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro, gestures and on-screen navigation support, noise cancellation support, and Dolby Atmos support features.
Oneplus 7T Camera
The Oneplus 7T comes with the triple camera setup, with a very moto-like circular design, and in a Horizontal layout. The OnePlus 7T setup consists of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor as its primary camera, with an f/1.6 aperture, 1.6-micron pixels (4-in-1), optical image stabilization (OIS), electronic image stabilization (EIS), and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). The secondary camera features a 2x telephoto lens with a 12-megapixel sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and 1.0-micron pixels. The third camera is an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 16-megapixel sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and 117-degree field of view. The rear camera setup is accompanied by a dual-LED flash module.
Rear camera features include 4K video at up to 60fps, 1080p video at up to 60fps, and 720p video at up to 960fps, with the last two being Super Slow Motion modes. The Oneplus 7T’s camera features include a Portrait mode, an upgraded UltraShot Engine, Nightscape 2.0, Pro Mode, AI Scene Detection, Panorama, HDR, Time-Lapse, and RAW Image. A Macro Mode up to 2.5cm is also being touted.
